Another report from the Milan catwalks by European Fashion editor Elena Leoni. This time, one of the trendiest and most successful brands, Dsquared2, presents us a glam rock collection which is hard to ignore. The Dsquared2 shows held in Milan are focusing each season more about fun and entertainment than just fashion.
The collections, whether presenting the fall winter or the spring summer trends, never lack of pieces such as mini skirts, t-shirts, tight jeans, sexy hot pants, leather trousers and jackets, colorful caps and high heeled boots. It might not sound revolutionary, but the Canadian twin duo of Dean and Dan Caten behind Dsquared2 is unbeatable at melting these elements together to achieve a fresh, indie look that rocks.
The latest fashion show was inspired by music festivals such as Glastonbury, so clothes are both comfortable and glamorous, like the stars and stripes tops or the footwear in general. To make it all more realistic the brand included a key element that is always present at such events: mud. The high-heeled boots came with mud on it (not real, but the effect was perfect), and if you are still not convinced, take a look at the perfect accessory you can take with you if attending a music concert…a hot mud covered guy. Dsquared2 feels at home in Milan Italy as it does in Los Angeles. The cool rock glam vibe women love fits their personal style from Milan to New York.
