Marie-Louise Winther is always one step ahead of the fashion trends. This spring is all about bright bold colors and fun patterns and Marie-Louise knows just how to bring those trends to life in her own style. New England based fashion blogger of Marie-Louise’s Pulse, ML not only has a passion for fashion, she knows how to create it. Whether its a DIY project or starting from scratch ML is always designing her own looks and setting her own standards. Inspired by her travels to Copenhagen, Denmark and her studies in fashion and photography, ML knows street style from all over the globe. More recently, traveling to New York City often to scour flea markets for vintage finds and attend fashion week, Marie-Louise is familiar with the New York Street Style.
Maxi skirts with colorful details are a perfect choice for a not-yet-hot spring day. Long skirts are an excellent way to show off a fit figure, tiny waist or hourglass curves. Anyone can rock the maxi skirt. Marie-Louise keeps her look simple by pairing her skirt with a plain black tee shirt. Our favorite part about ML’s look is her accessories. A Mango Ring and Anarchy Street skull bracelet and Target Cuff. She takes the sweetness of the floral skirt and mixes it with daring accessories to make the look perfectly balanced between feminine and and edgy.
Maxi skirts are everywhere this season. Be bold and choose one with patterns and color,or start slow, half-way sheer maxis are also very chic this spring. We like this green based floral from TopShop. It is easiest to pair a maxi with a simple top; short or no sleeves to make up for the lack of leg the skirt shows such as this tee from H&M. Accessories being our favorite part, go crazy! Anarchy Street has a wide variety of colors and metals to choose from if you want a trendy but edgy piece. Colorful shoes like these Juicy Couture Willow heels go nicely with the flowing skirt. Lastly you cannot forget sunglasses. We like these Tom Ford retro throw-backs. Whether you spending your sunny spring days in Copenhagen, LA or New York the Maxi skirt is the perfect way to start off your look.
