Amy Holiber shared her makeup steps for styling her signature smokey eye look with our friends at Lucky Magazine.
Apply a neutral shade of eye shadow all over your eye lid and up toward the crease.
Next apply a soft eye liner in a saphire blue, emerald green or plum color close to the lash line. Rigt after you apply your colored liner blent the vibrant hue with your neutral shadow.
Following layer a similar shade of shadow over your bleneded line to soften to the look. Then blend the shadow again up to the crease of your eye and under your lashes.
Finally apply a little shimmery eye highlighter uner your eye-brow bone, at the inner corners of your eye and in the middle of the eyelid.
Mix and match I love to pair purple tones with bronze or silver, or olive with gold, or lilac and silver shadow with purple liner. Playing with different intensities of the same color can look beautiful too. Either way, the effect will be a bit less intense than the traditional smoky look with grays and blacks—it’s fresh, and really flattering.
