Making a trip in the City over the Weekend?
Well what better way to get immersed in the NY minute culture than by visiting the Isaac Mizrahi: An Unruly History exhibition at the Jewish Museum.
A first for both the designer and museum, where the influential American fashion designer will portray
his views on one of the most fascinated industries in the world, fashion. The exhibition includes his most iconic moments in fashion, showcasing his most memorable designs spanning over three decades, where he debuted his first collection in 1987. As a depiction from his career, the exhibition walks through thematic themes from his signature key prints, strategic use of bold color and witty designs. The exhibition features pieces from every collection from semi-couture to collaboration with mega-grocer retailer, Target in 2002, spanning over 50 looks throughout his career, Mizrahi, a household name in the industry known for his take on contemporary fashion from high versus low and modern couture. Needless to say, Mizrahi’s designs have evolved overtime throughout his career extending his love for fashion into acting, directing, cabaret, set and costume design. Visitors will also be treated to video installations of never before seen footage from the runway.
It’s safe to say this exhibition will not disappoint.
You can find the Isaac Mizrahi : The Unruly History exhibition at The Jewish Museum on 1109 Fifth Avenue at 92nd Street until the 7th of August.
