NYLON magazine’s Style Director, Dani Stahl is one empowering women you’ll definitely want to keep on your radar. The stylist and self-proclaimed ‘accessories fanatic’ is tackling the fashion industry one bracelet at a time.
As a student at NYU, Stahl found her way into the industry while interning at NYLON. Here, she was able to carve out her path and find a niche for herself if the crazy world of fashion. Stahl told Burton.com that she started out as what she called, “The worst assistant ever.” Hey, you have to start somewhere, right? She eventually found her way into the marketing side of the magazine, then Accessories Editor, which led to her current position.
One thing that sticks out most about Stahl is the way she communicates with her readers. “NYLON has always spoken to their audience very intelligently. We talk to you on a higher level. Now more than ever, women don’t want to be coddled,” Stahl told Burton.com. In today’s society is extremely important to have an authentic voice in the industry.
Aside from her life at NYLON, Stahl has been involved in styling. She took on the job of Creative Director for the website Keaton Row. Think of it as a dating website for stylists. “I want to help empower people who have certain credentials but don’t necessarily have access to the fashion world, or live in New York City, or have red-carpet clients.” Stahl told The Cut. Is there anything this lovely lady can’t do?
From styling expert to the Style Director at NYLON magazine, Stahl has no limits when it comes to her career.
We can’t wait to see what Stahl’s next project in the fashion industry is!
