New York Trends for Fashion Week 2018

New York Fashion Week 2018 is coming quickly as the New Year has arrived. Top designers including Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Christian Siriano, Ralph Lauren and Tom Ford will be featured among numerous others this February on the runway. As designers ready their work for the runway, anticipatory trends such as feathers and square necklines are popping up all across New York.

As Fashion Week draws nearer, brands such as Calvin Klein have been known to be using rubberized materials to create beautiful runway ready pieces and we can expect to see more of these looks in 2018. The use of these unconventional materials puts Project Runway’s unconventional material challenges to the test as these fashion trends look sleek and modern!

Ruching is another trend that we can expect to see on New York Fashion Week’s runway in February. Tom Ford and Tory Burch are expected to turn heads their ruched designs this year. The ruched details in their fabrics hug every curve of the model’s silhouette. The anticipation of these trends can already been seen among New Yorkers as they prepare for Fashion Week!

New York Fashion Week 2018 is highly anticipated as being more diverse than ever. With brands continuing to strive for inclusivity amongst models, audiences can expect more racial diversity, a number of plus sized models, as well as transgender and non-binary models.
