Last week marked a week of celebration for Patricia Field’s new swimsuit collection and the world premier of Sex & the City 2. Â Patricia Field is the renowned Costume Designer for the Sex & the City franchise, and has made fashion one of the film’s most intriguing characters.
Last Tuesday, May 25th, Patricia was honored by The New York Women in Film & Television’s “Designing Women” with the Variety Ensemble Award.  This was followed by the Swim-sational Disco Soiree party and fashion show at 230 Fifth Avenue, to celebrate Patricia Field’s launch of  Patricia Field/ House of Field Eyewear, Swimwear and Beach Towels.  The spectacular swimwear fashion show and instillation featured House of Field by David Dalrymple, Ivana Sert (SATC) and The Blonds.  The fashion show also showcased gold fine jewelry by Ippolita.

The event was a buzz with fashionistas, industry insiders, socialites, and of course celebrities. Â The rooftop of 230 Fifth provided a perfect venue to view the swimsuits which were on mannequins around the top level of the space, as well as to dance the night away while sipping your favorite drink. Â The views of the city were breathtaking, and as the warm night breeze came in everyone was taken aback at the beauty of the collection. Â Patricia Field, who was spotted at the event, who can miss her with her bright red hair?, did an amazing job with her swimsuit design, and everyone couldn’t stop talking about how her suits are a must have item.
