The three words to describe Stella McCartney’s fall/winter 2010 collection would have to be: classic, simple and elegant.
The new line is bombarded with neutrals with black, beige and whites and a hint of color with dark pink and bright orange. The clean and effortless lines of the outfits, and the lightweight to silky fabrics, create a sophisticated look that will never go out of style.
The line also seems to feature the exposure of the models legs with over-sized suit coats and sweaters as well as skirts and dresses just hitting the top of the thigh. The asymmetrical style of the dresses allowed a train to practically float behind the brisk- walking models due to the lightweight fabric used.
The collection is good practice for McCartney’s even faster-moving models in 2012. Earlier in the summer, McCartney agreed to create the uniforms for Team Great Britain for the London 2012 Olympics in partnership with athletic super-brand Adidas. She will also design Olympics-themed apparel for fans which will be launched this fall.
