Katy Perry California Girl For Windows

Katy Perry sang her heart out for a free concert in New York on Monday at the Roseland Ballroom to celebrate the launch of Microsoft’s release of three devices built on its new Windows phone 7 platform.

Perry made a memorable entrance by jumping out of a huge cake as confetti flooded over the audience. The stage was decked out in giant candy canes and lollipops and Windows Phone 7 displays.

Perry rocked a light purple latex mini-dress with large cupcakes placed all around the dress. Her hair was tightly pulled back in the front with long flowing curls coming out of a high ponytail.

Less than 24 hours before the concert, Perry was in Madrid for the MTV Europe Music Awards. Where, of course, she took home the award of Best Video Statue for her hit ‘California Girls.’

She sang the award-winning song along with other hits such as ‘Ur So Gay,’ ‘Hot N Cold,’ ‘Teenage Dream,’ ‘Peacock’ and of course the song that started it all, ‘I kissed a girl.

The free concert in New York was hosted by Microsoft and AT&T and was accompanied by another concert in San Francisco where Maroon 5 put on a show.
