This season, the color-blocking trend was seen on many runways, and now is being seen on a ton of celebrities such as Jessica Alba, Rihanna, and Camilla Belle. Color-blocking is matching two or more tones of colors together, à-la-Rothko. It is usually done using vivid jewel tones like purple, orange, emerald green, or bright aqua. It is definitely a way to make a bold statement and can be worn for daytime or night.
Rihanna wore the trend with coral-orange high-waisted pants with a cropped magenta sweater. She finished the look with gold heels and hoops for a very trendy and city style.
Jessica Alba wore the trend to this years CFDA Style Awards. She wore a purple and orange maxi dress by Diane von Furstenburg which looked great on the pregnant star. She kept the rest of her look simple with gold jewelry and bright fuschia lips.
Camilla Belle wore this trend right off of the Gucci runway wearing their orange oversized blazer with emerald high-waisted pants, a purple tube top and emerald heels. She also wore a gold belt to accentuate her waist. How to Wear vibrant color is a dynamic fashion entrance.
