With so many nail polish colors to choose from, it’s sometimes difficult to pinpoint which ones are most trendy. We’ve scoped out the polishes celebrities are wearing and found some of the most chic hues to paint your nails.
Pastels polishes are particularly fun and a shade that fashionistas like Alexa Chung have been spotted wearing. Here Alexa chose to don a soft lilac nail polish in London last February at the Burberry Prorsum show. Pastel shades are a great way to ease into spring and leave behind the dark polishes normally reserved for winter. To avoid a chalky look, apply a clear topcoat to any pastel nail polish.
Jessica Alba had everyone talking about her fabulous gray nails at a private holiday dinner for Swarovski Elements in West Hollywood. The chic slate color coordinated well with her soft, feminine pink dress. Shorter, more rounded nails work best for a steel gray color such as this.
The youthful bright pink polish Hailee Steinfeld wore the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards was a complete fashion DO. Her nails matched perfectly to the shade of pink in the Prada dress she was wearing that evening. This polish gave her nails the pop of color they needed, rather than choosing a harsh black or a nude hue that would have been washed out.
