Celebrity Emma Watson, better known as Hermione Granger from Harry Potter, recently announced that she would collaborate with designer Alberta Ferretti to create a new organic clothing line.

Beyond her skills as an actress, Watson has shown her knowledge of fashion modeling for iconic brands like Burberry. Watson also worked as the creative advisor for the fair trade fashion line People Tree, releasing a spring collection in Feb. 2010, and continued working on the fall/winter 2010 collection.

Ferretti wrote Watson after seeing her People Tree collection and loving the idea of an organic clothing line. Watson gladly accepted, saying she would work for any designer for free if they were committed to making fair trade organic clothing,

The duo has not revealed the name of their new brand, saying more information will be released just after Christmas this year. Watson believes her generation's genuine interest and concern in the environment will make fair trade fashion a hit in seasons to come.
