Youthful, Yet Sophistcated in Collette Dinnigan

Australian designer Collette Dinnigan’s Spring 2011 collection, Cirque d Amour, strays from popular trends we’ve noticed so far this season such as length and bold color. That being said, the collection is pretty, girly and youthful, making the look desirable all the same.
Dinnigan’s collection is composed of baby doll and trapeze dresses, bloomer shorts and capris done in a daisy print, button down sweaters showcasing ruffles and sequins, and empire-waisted, tulle ballerina skirts all highly feminine, all fun and all perfect for a casual summer day party, or a walk down city streets this spring.
While the collection features a palette of pastels and whites, the detailed and delicate embellishment, beautiful silks and unique prints make each look sophisticated and expensive. There’s nothing wrong with a youthful look, so long as fit and silhouette accentuate a woman’s shape in a modest, yet appealing way and Collette Dinnigan’s collection is sure to do just that.
The honour of showing in Paris is as much about representing Australia on a global design stage as it is about growing our presence in an international market, I feel incredibly privileged to be acknowledged in a forum of my peers. Cirque d Amour is youthful, fresh and channels the sport of performing Dinnigan said.
